Founded in 2010 by a British Airways Pilot and an Air Traffic Controller, RB was originally a hobby project, created to try and help airline crew access their flying schedules more efficiently. In 2012, their vision was brought to life through the creation of the RosterBuster app.

We offer products to both the B2B and B2C markets. Our airline enterprise product CAE Connect is an expert web app that optimizes scheduling, communication, connectivity, and crew engagement that can be used in combination with our B2C Product RosterBuster.

Through our award-winning app RosterBuster, we enable users and to connect to their airline operations, communicate with crew and manage their busy lives with ease for better work-life balance. With over 300k users globally and over 500 airlines currently supported, we are committed to empowering aviation professionals with relevant and instant information right at their fingertips, when they need it. We also provide a digital pilot logbook for both professional and private pilots that integrates with RosterBuster and airline scheduling systems.

Mobile Developer (Android) Job Description

For our versatile mobile teams, we are looking for an Android Developer. Work across the mobile-stack in a specialist, generalist or in a full-stack role​.

Role and responsibilities

● Build from ground up – to meet airline crew needs. Develop client-side components of these features.
● Collaborate closely with Product and Growth teams
● Focus on speed without sacrificing quality – even our biggest features are prototyped, scoped tightly and developed incrementally.
● Resolve issues and process feedback that is reported by our customers.
● Improve our technical architecture, using the latest and greatest technologies and design patterns
● Work closely with Project Managers and other Team members to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
● Develop and support new & existing features on the application of the assigned work.
● Participate in scrum ceremonies and update the progress of assigned tasks in agile development tools..


● Experience level 2 to 8 years; With one excellent and the other at least basic knowledge.
● Proficient with Android native stack, e.g. Java, Kotlin, React Native.
● Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards Understanding of design principles and interface guidelines
● Knowledge of low-level libraries is preferred
● Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools Experience with Firebase (FCM, realtime database, analytics)
● Testing frameworks
● Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)
● Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment
● Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies
● Willingness to put additional efforts to complete challenging tasks
● A love for clean and elegant code
● Independent and accurate
● Proficient in English as the role requires to work in close coordination with the team based in the Netherlands
