RB Group is selected by IAG ( International Airlines Group) from 500 applications to pitch at Hangar 51.
Our CEO Richard Versluis flew out to Madrid earlier this month, to pitch our exciting new approach on how to reduce operational frustrations and costs to an auditorium full of IAG airline and innovation executives from the different IAG brands.
What is Hangar 51?
Hangar 51 goes beyond what might be offered by a traditional accelerator, offering successful applicants the chance to be embedded at the heart of the IAG airline business, working side by side with an international team of mentors and experts from across the group.
RB Group and Hangar 51
RB Group was selected from over 500 companies to attend and pitch at this year’s event in Madrid, a proud moment and business milestone for the whole team and our founders, who work tirelessly to deliver airline crews around the globe the best mobile experience.
We had previously applied to 2018 program, but sadly did not make the cut, so to be accepted and invited this year was a fantastic achievement, and an important personal lesson to never give up. 20 years as an entrepreneur, I still need to remind myself of that sometimes.
Richard Versluis – CEO
We were excited to stand in front of such a prestige audience and represent our industry and the voices of not only the crew members who use RB Crew Mobile App to manage their busy challenges, both on and off the runway, but also our partner airlines who use our enterprise edition RB Connect to transform their airline operations through streamlined roster distribution, communication, connectivity, and crew engagement.
What is the IAG Group?
IAG is the parent company of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia and Vueling.
It is one of the world’s largest airline groups, its carriers operating a total of 573 aircraft flying to 268 destinations around the world.
We eagerly await the results from this year’s program and look forward to what the future holds for our industry as communication, connectivity, and engagement begin to take their first steps into the spotlight within the aviation industry.
