One of the most important things we need to do as app developers, is to stay in touch with our users in aviation. We do this with user sessions that we sometimes organize on location (for example in London) or at RosterBuster HQ. This week, we had a very fruitful session with Transavia Cabin Crew.
Three long time RosterBuster users from the fast growing Dutch airline visited Zoetermeer and engaged in the user session. We had a lengthy conversations with them, in which we talked about how they experience the RosterBuster app and how it helps them in their daily life. We also demonstrated new developments for the upcoming year, to verify if we are on the right path. The challenges that Transavia cabin crew face are very specific, as they are mostly engaged in short haul flights.
We were very pleased with the feedback we got. We gathered a lot of suggestions that we can use to make RosterBuster better. But what struck us most is that a lot of RB’s awesome features are not visible in the app or not clear enough for everyone to use. For example: automatic roster upload, destinations, group conversations for your flight and the shared calendar and RosterBot for friends & family. We have a lot of work to do to explain the app better and its value for our users, so they can get the most out of their memberships.
After the in-depth discussions, we had a lunch together in the Innovation Café at the Dutch Innovation Factory. We learn a lot from these sessions, as every time there are small and large things we can improve in the product, based on real life use cases.
