Nearly 10 years later RB Group has thrived and grown into an international business with offices in Europe and India. Run by a dedicated and growing team of aviation and tech experts, RB Group now focuses on bringing airlines and airline crew together through better communication and connectivity. 

Chief Commercial Officer Job Description 

Based: Head office, Zoetermeer, The Netherlands or Norwich United Kingdom 

This is an executive-level position responsible for the commercial strategy and development of the business through marketing, sales, product development, and customer service activities to drive business growth and market share. The CCO will take ownership of the customer and the customer interface making sure that all functions of the organization are aligned to meet its strategic commercial objectives. In this position you will take full accountability for the further expansion of RB group, achieving top-line revenue growth.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop short-, mid and long term plans and budgets for the company and its sales activities and monitor progress.

•  Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics, market intelligence and write and report to the CEO in all matters of importance.

• Be a strategic partner to the CEO of RB group.
  
• Develop strategic direction and plans for the company with regard to all commercial functions, including sales, marketing, and customer success. 

• Establish and monitor progress against key performance indicators.
 
• Identify and develop new market opportunities for the company’s product portfolio.
 
• Develop and drive the pricing strategy of the organization.
 
•  Be a networker at relevant and interesting platforms and be a crucial part of the face of RB group.

• Think and act as a leader.
 
• The CCO will align the commercial department’s values while inspiring confidence and generating excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment towards the mission.
 

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
 
• Having work experience in the aviation industry is a must.
 
• A strong commercial background involving direct sales, sales, and channel management, marketing, pricing strategies, and key account management in the aviation industry is a must.
 
• A history of growing sales, margin and market share.

• Brings a problem-solving mindset to any challenging situation.
  
•  Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to interface with practitioners and stakeholders.

• Proficient understanding of Web/Mobile app development & architecture.
  
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a high-growth, dynamic environment.

• Outstanding leadership skills. 

• Experienced in managing diverse and geographically remote teams.

•  Proficient verbal and written skills in English
